I'm pleased with the speed improvments in 3.0, but can't get automatic profile selection to pick the right profile.
No matter what the original shutter speed was of the photo I select (1/60, 1/125, 1/500) NI always selects the profile for 1/10. I've tried building an entire set of new profiles with the current version of NI based on comments in this thread (http://www.neatimage.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=376 Gabor Levai in Using NI), but it made no difference. I tried pulling the profiles out of the ISO-specific subdirectories I created, but again no luck.
As a test I adjusted the profile matching priorities to ignore everything other than an exact match on exposure. NI reported it couldn't find a matching profile even though one was clearly there. I told it high match on ISO, exact match on exposure ignore all else - still no good.
For what it's worth, I upgraded from NI 2.6 uninstalling 2.6 first. In spite of reporting a successful uninstall of 2.6, the process apparently left a number of registry keys behind. I say this because in initially exploring options for 3.0, a number of the directory options were still set to former 2.6 locations. I refocused them on the correct 3.0 locations.
As background: Minolta dimage 71, Photos direct out of camera (no other processing) - high quality JPEG. NI home 3.0, WinXP pro 3.0G P4 1G RAM.
Automatic Profile Selection Won't
I think the problem may be related to the original images and the way key device mode parameters are presented in the EXIF data. Could you give me a link to an image from this camera so that I checked if Neat Image has trouble with getting some of the parameters it needs for matching to work.
Thank you,
Vlad

Thanks & Test Images
Thanks Vlad.
Sorry about the earlier typo. It's DiMAGE 7i (not 71).
Just in case you want some test images, here are two prime candidates for NI:

http://www.pbase.com/image/23750136
alternatively you can access them via http://www.pbase.com/curtgodfrey/test

Auto Profile Selection for A1
I suspect that auto profile selection does not work consistently for the A1 also.
I have not had time to repeat my profile production to be sure the EXIF data was copied to all of them. However, if others are having this problem, that is probably the same for me.
It might be significant that I am using profiles mostly produced from raw images using MRWFormat, and that most of the images I am processing were also produced that way. Could that have anything to do with it?
