Removing 50Hz interference from video

Post by Gasherz »

Hello everyone. My question is short and to the point.

I have some video that I shot using the Nikkon D90 video record funtion (1080x720 @24fps). The problem is that the recorded video frames have received what seems to be 50 Hz "noisy waves" super imposed onto each frame.

Since this seem to be a somewhat "linear noise" I was hoping to find a software which could filter out this kind of noise.

Can Neat Video help me do this? If not... does anyone here know of some other kind of software which would be able to perform this task?

Thank you and best regards,

Peter

Neat Video may help but this mostly depends on the type of interference. It is not really noise, so it may be not very efficient. Anyway, I think it makes sense to directly try the filter on that footage.
