fcp 7.0.3 Crashing

Post by diik0nn » Thu May 26, 2011 3:59 am

I keep getting the:
Error!
Line: 185
Function: Malloc

yadda yadda error in every fcp project at the moment, sometimes when I just try to open the "reduce noise" dialog screen.
Latest version of Neat Video
Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?
Thanks.

Please reduce the amount of system memory given to FCP:

Preferences > System Settings > Memory & Cache > Application

By default, it is usually set to 100%. Please try to reduce to something like 50-60%.

Thank you,

Thank you very much for the help, so far it seems to be holding up.
Excellent software btw, will purchase the AE version when I get some more money :)

An update to this issue, I am still having problems with lots of crashes even after reducing the amount of system memory. Maybe not as frequent, but unfortunately frequent enough. Is there any other solutions I can try here?
Thanks for any help.

You can also disable multi-processor support in NV Preferences, this will make it use less memory. Also reducing the temporal filter radius will do the same. Also, I would try to further reduce the above amount of system memory given to FCP.
