Neat Image Upgrade Policy

I am interested in purchasing Neat Image.

What is the upgrade policy for Neat Image? Are upgrades for the same version free? Also, I upgrade from the Home User to the Professional version, would my previous purchase price be credited for the new version?

Yes, updates within one major version (2.xx->2.yy) are free for all editions. Updates to a major version with a higher number (2.xx->3.yy) may be free or not free, depending on edition.
Upgrade from Home edition to Pro edition takes into account price of the Home edition. Please check this page for current upgrade prices:

Do I uninstall the earlier version first or just install on top of the old??

Install into a new folder (this is done by the installer by default). In this way, you will be able to unistall older version both before and after installing new one.

Um, page doesn't show upgrade prices. Do you have to log in to download area to see the prices? I only ask because I don't have my reg # handy at the moment.

Yes, please log in to see prices. Even if you don't want to upgrade, you still can download the latest version of your current Neat Image edition.
