I've tried the demo for a couple of weeks and have been really satisfied with the result, so today I registered it and am now a proud owner of the home version. =)
Well, the subject line says it all.
I'd love to see this format supported, since this is how I save all my work. Since it's open source, perhaps it isn't that hard to implement.
Well, I'd really like to see it in a future version. It's a bit anoying, having to convert my photos in Photoshop to TIF and then open them in NI.
PNG support?
I take the point, although overall, PNG is much less (so far) of a standard in digital image processing than TIFF. It has several problems too, for example, PNG cannot handle EXIF data.
We may add PNG in one of the future version, but this format will compete with, for example, TARGA, for the priority in our development plans.
BTW, there will be no need to convert formats at all as soon as the plugin version of Neat Image will become available (it will, soon).
