JPEG quality on jobs

Post by rzurga »

Hi,

Neat Image is a great program and I am using the 2.3 Pro version! However, it would be nice if the options would have the JPEG quality slider for saves. The way it seems to work now is that the quality slider appears when you do a manual single pic job on the save and then is implicitly remembered for the future. It would be a good idea to make this explicit in the options menu so that one can change this setting on the fly for the future batches without having to do a single picture save to change it.

When you create filtration jobs in batch, you are asked for the JPEG compression level (in case you select JPEG as output file type). You have the same dialog as in the case of a single image.

When you drag & drop files onto NI and then select all and queue them then you don't have this question. It seems that then for the JPEG quality factor it uses whatever has been last used before.

Yes, you are right. Drag-n-drop simply reuses previously set value of the factor. We will consider adding an option to set this factor explicitly.

Thank you for the suggestion!
