I was working with Minolta 7i profiles and now I need profiles for Canon 10D. The 10D profiles are prepared for list of ISO only and not for exposure time. In User's Guide (4.2, 4 p.12) is example with exposure time but in table below described that affect the noise characteristic the most I can not see the time.
Question : Is the noise profiles function of time ?
Do we need ISO-time matrix profiles for 10D ?
Usually, the influence of exposure difference on noise properties is less than the influence of ISO difference. Therefore, in most cases having profiles for different ISO rates is enough but if you want to be even more accurate you may additionally take the exposure time into account.
