Exif Data being stripped...

Post by ph0t0man »

My workflow is as follows:
Shoot fine JPEG using Dimage 7i
Open image in NI, and process using custom profiles
Open image in PS6 and correct levels/curves
Upload to my favorite Picture Sharing Website (sometimes as a zip)
Notice my exif is gone...

Can anyone tell me which step is stripping the exif data from my images? I notice that some of my images still carry their exif, but in this lastest batch, it is all wiped out. In the options menu, the box for "preserve exif data..." is checked, but it isnt accessable (greyed out). I am currently using the trial version (if it makes any difference) of NI and does a lovely job. I am sure this is just user error and would like to correct my mistake. I do all my work in JPEG from camera to Printing. Keeps it quick and simple. Thanks in advance for any replies

If you use the Demo then it is normal that EXIF is not preserved. The Demo does not preserve the EXIF. Please see the featuremap: http://www.neatimage.com/featuremap.html

Hope this helps.
