hello,

I have a question for coolpix4500, if I use it for astroshots.... How should I do my device noise profiles??

Only one for each sensibility or should I do it for each sensibilities and for each exposure time????

Because the noise is getting worth with long exposure ...

I'm not sure about that one....

Thanks again for your great soft

I think profiling for astro-shots may be slightly different from normal photography (especially if you would use a professional astro-camera) in what is related to exprosure time.

I would try to build profiles for both different ISO and different exposure time and compare the noise levels in profiles (use the Profile Viewer, Ctrl+I). If the noise levels do significantly depend on exposure times then I would take the exposure into account. If they do not then just stick to ISO.

Usually, long exposures make hot pixels more evident and do not significantly affect the regular noise. But if you see that with your camera the noise levels do change a lot then take exposure into account.

Hope this helps.
