Time elapsed incorrect on multiprocessor system?

Post by taob »

I'm trying out NeatImage Pro+ 3.17 (standalone version) on my dual Opteron system. I noticed that the elapsed timer is counting up too quickly. I sent 12 images through as a test. I do see two images being processed in the queue at once. When all 12 are done, the elapsed timer says 7:26. However, my stopwatch says 4:03. At the beginning of the batch, the elapsed timer is counting up exactly 2 seconds for every 1 second of real time, although this gradually falls out of sync.

This is on Windows XP Pro SP1 on a dual Opteron 244 system.

Yes, we are aware of this issue. Hopefully the time estimations will be improved in the next version. This is a complicated issue.

Thank you for the report,
Vlad
