No Profiles and No EXIF

Post by DigitalDevo »

I upgraded from Version 3.17...
With version 4 I now get no profile matches and I also get message could not match profile due to no EXIF data in file or something. But iof run 3.17 and open same picture works fine. Also manually checking EXIF using JHEAD and EXIFER and Win XP Pro.. the EXIF is still in the Pic :( Any help would be rgeatly appreciated.

Please download the software once again. We have just uploaded an updated version, as discussed in the next thread.

Thank you,

Please send me (support@neatimage.com) the image and a few profiles you use so that I could check what exactly is going wrong.

Thank you,

I can send.. but discovered more information from experimenting.. If straight from camera in JPEG works fine... If adjusted then saved in Adobe PS 7.0 first then run through NI it gives the error. Still want me to send email?

Well, this is already good to know. Must be PS doing something bad to the EXIF.. We will check this. Meanwhile please use untouched images, straight from the camera. Anyway, this will provide the most accurate noise reduction since profile-to-image match will be more accurate with untouched images.

You didn't mention the camera model you use.

And yes, please send me the image only.

Thank you,
Vlad

Okay.. cause maybbe I do things backwards but I usually do NI as my last part of post processing of images. But I will try it first and see what happens ;) I use the Canon 300D and Sony F717.

P.S. Email sent ;)

Thank you for the image. It is now clear what exactly PS has done to EXIF and we can do something about it. There will be an update soon.
