Canon 10D NeatImage noise profiles

Description

These device noise profiles were created using NeatImage's suggested greyscale calibration target. This target was displayed on Viewsonic VP171 LCD flat panel display and photographed in Canon raw format. The raw files were then processed using C1 Pro 1.3.1 to both 16-bit TIFF and high-quality JPEG. No sharpening and no noise reduction were performed in C1. The resulting images were fed through NeatImage 4.0's batch profiler to generate the final profiles. Each ISO sample was taken at EV 0, EV -1 and EV -2. These images were subsequently "pushed" by an exposure compensation (EC) of 0, +1 and +2 stops in C1. This was done since an ISO 400 shot pushed 2 stops does not necessarily have the same noise profile as a straight ISO 1600 shot.

If there is interest, profiles for in-camera JPEGs can also be produced, as well as shots pushed with negative EC.

Hi Brian.

I would be very much interested in the in-camera jpg profiles for the 10D! Jpg is what I try to mainly use, so if it is possible to post the jpg-profile with YCrCbJPEG color space, I would be extremely gratefull!
