RAW image support through dcraw

Would it be possible for Neat Image to add support for RAW formats using the source code for dcraw which is available at http://www.cybercom.net/~dcoffin/dcraw/ ?

A test with DCRAW vs. Canon's own RAW utility:

Thank you for the links. I will check them to see whether dcraw can be used in NI and what would be potential benefits of that.

Imo it would be a good feature as I believe the noise reduction algorithms could be merged with the bayer interpolation algorithm used to render the image from a RAW file.
