Hi,
I just bought my first digital camera and i want to make a profile.
What have to be recorded, there is ISO and sharpness but at higher shutterspeed the noise also increases, do i have to shoot at different shutterspeeds as wel and different compression levels and resolutions?
I'm a bit confused about what is important.

The most important factor is ISO level.

Then I would say that Sharpness, contrast, compression (jpeg level) and saturation will affect some too. The shutter speed should not matter that much unless it is very long exposures.

I always shoot with the camera set to never do sharpening or contrast changes as that can be done in Photoshop. I have made a profile for each ISO level. Also I have done separate profiles for RAW and JPEG files as they appear rather different with the noise.

You may want to check this section of the user guide. It discusses important device parameters that have to be taken into account during profiling.

Thanks, i made profiles for the settings i use for the Minolta Z2 and mailed them.
