Preview image comparsion shifts up/left a few pixels in NI 4

Post by rogernordin »

In NeatImage 4.x the preview image (and also the final image output) shifts a couple of pixels up and left when the filtered output is shown compared to when left mousebutton is pressed to compare to the original. Is that a bug or a feature? Hmm... I think it makes comparing the images harder. Comments?

What zoom level you are using when observing the shift?

If it is less than 100% than a shift in preview is inevitable in current implementation but there should be no shift in output-input comparison window.

Indeed!

Hi Vlad,

Yes that seems to be case indeed! I was at 33% which is the default size typically here when opening the 10D images here. Maybe the fit-to-screen was changed with 4.x; I think previous versions opened at 100% by default (although I could be mistaken), which would explain why I didn't noticed a problem before.

At zoom levels 100% and above, there is no shift, indeed. Thanks again for a quick response!

You can disable auto-fit zoom in Options.
