Is it just a convenience feature or is there actually better image reasons for the plug-in version as well.
In other words, what would a sample workflow be with the standalone versus plug-in. Could you do the noise reduction first with the PI somehow giving you a better image (rather than waiting until after export to JPG with the standalone)?
Thanks,
Nitts
Advantages of plug-in version??
With the plug-in you can directly combine the power of Neat Image superior noise reduction with the flexibility of Photoshop selection tools: you can apply noise reduction to a selected area only, or to selected channel, or to a layer in a complex image.
In case of Photoshop, you can use a built-in Camera Raw converter and then directly process the resulting RGB image in Neat Image plug-in. With the standalone application you would have to use a RAW conversion software and then bring the resulting RGB to Neat Image through a disk file (preferably TIFF).
If you workflow is Photoshop-centric then the plug-in provides the most convenient solution. If you work without Photoshop then the standalone Neat Image is the way to go.
Hope this helps.
