Can i make a standard noice filter for panorama software?

Post by Ronald »

I use a Fuji S7000 for which there is a standard filter which works for me.
With the S7000 I make a lot of panorama foto's which I stich with The Panorama Factory.
After stitching 4 or 5 images together I would like to use NeatImage.
Ofcourse I cant use the S7000 filter anymore. Should generate a new noise profile for each stitched foto or can I do this once, store as a Panorama Factory profle and reuse that for any stitched foto ?

Thx, Ronald

Using separate profiles for each image would provide the most accurate results. However if you are sure all the images were shot in the same camera mode with the same white balance, shutter speed, etc., then you probably can use a single profile for the whole panorama. The point is the properties of the noise should be the same everywhere across the image.

Hope this helps.
