I think the CPU load will depend on file type. For example, JPEGs may require more CPU then TIFFs, but not all TIFFs.

How much time does it take to send this batch to the queue and how much time the images are processed aftewards?

Anyway, once again, thank you for bringing this up. We are now considering possible ways of speeding this up.

I have an Intel Core 2 DUO 2.4GHz processor on a DELL computer.

I process a large number of images with version 5.8 and I look at CPU usage (CTRL-ALT-DEL).

1 CPU is at 90% while the other is only at about 10%...

Is there something I can do to speed up processing and use the 2 cores efficiently ?

Please check the Options > General in Neat Image, look for multiprocessor support.

Also, I recommend to upgrade to the version 6 for best results.
