I printed the Cal Target then shot pics several at different ISO and speed. Then ran the jpg pics thruough the Batch Profiler. About 25% gave the following message:
cannot automatically find uniform area. Profile is not built.
All of the shots are blurred althought at 36" away and f/1.4 set at infinity some are very very blurred where it's difficult to tell where the different color squares change colors. Other than that they all look about the same.
What causes this type of error? Any suggestion on how to prevent it?

That is the reason. Try to reduce blurring to make the target show clearly distinct flat areas of different colors. However do not make the image fully in-focus to avoid capturing the texture of the paper.are very very blurred where it's difficult to tell where the different color squares change colors
