Hi,
i tried to install the demo of recent NI on my Suse 9.2.
Installation works more or less, but i cant start it, whenever i try, i get:
"Speicherzugriffsfehler" which means something like "Memory-Acces-Error, but i guess its a Segfault".
I tried
wine-20040813 and wine-20050725 but its the same error with both. What version is known to be working, and where can i download old Versions?
Will it be possible to run Ni with the current version of wine sometimes, since i need 2005er wine for some other programms.
Which wine and where to get it?
It may be a Suse issue.
The version of Wine that worked correctly was 20040914. It should be available at Wine website: www.winehq.com
The newer versions of Wine should work correctly as well, and if they don't then it is quite possible that the issue is related to the unix flavour you use.
I would appreciate if other Suse users commented on their experience with Wine and Neat Image in it.

What could this have to do with my Suse? I compiled Kde 3.4 and some other libs myself, so its no a pure suse anymore anyway.
I used rpms for wine, but i will try to compile 20040914 myself to see if it makes any difference.
Btw, 20050725 is the most recent one, at least it was yesterday
