plug in version different from stand alone app

Should the plug in be the same version as the stand alone version? I have 5.25 Pro+. The plug in is 4.4 pro+. Are there any differences in the performance of the plug in and the stand alone app?

It should be the same version. Please make sure you correctly installed the software.

Thanks. An older version was still installed in the plugins folder for CS2 only. The new version installed into a different plugins folder. the new version now opens via photoshop.
