Rev 5.3 question

Post by NI_user »

Hi,

I just upgraded to Rev 5.3, and noticed in the History of Change that this rev "Modified default filter settings and filter presets (default noise levels in Cr and Cb are set to +0%)".

What were the default settings in the previous revs? Why was this modification made? Does Rev5.3's "0%" mean the same thing as in the previous revs, or does it mean something different?

Thanks.

In the previous versions, the default filter settings were the following:

In v5.3, the default noise levels in Cr and Cb are set to +0%, these values provide better filtration results in the current version of Neat Image. Yes, "+0%" is the same thing as "+0%" in the previous versions.

Hope this helps.

Vlad, thanks for the clarification. Since I leave the default settings unchanged in the previous revs, do you suggest that I do the same with Rev5.3 (i.e. all at 0%) for the same results as before?

I recommend to use the new defaults because they will provide better results.
