Batch in CS2 - automatic choice of appropriate profile?

Post by waver »

Hello,

after having created profiles for all speeds (since I use RAW, no need for other settings;-) - is it possible to let NI choose the appropriate profile when doing batch conversion in CS2?
It probably comes down to the question if NI can "see" the RAW-EXIF data (most likely) and then can pick the correct profile (which is named like ISO100, ISO1600) or so.

Thank you!

Yes, in most cases NI plug-in can see the EXIF data provided these data are really available, that is (1) they do exist in an image and (2) they are provided to plug-in by Photoshop. In many cases, both conditions are met.To test this with your images please download the NI Demo edition and open an image in the plug-in, then build a profile. If the EXIF data are provided to the plug-in then you will see the EXIF details in the device name and device mode fields in the Device Noise Profile box in the tab with the same name. If there is enough data to differentiate device modes then NI is able to automatically select the matching profile from a set either in manual mode (manually opening the plug-in window and using the Profile Match function) or in an action that is used by Photoshop batching.

Hope this helps.
