I tried to build the noise profiles with my camera, but the profile quality built is low.
I use my camera to shot the calibration target, open it in Neat Image, go to the TAB Device Noise Profile, click Auto Profile with Calibration Target. But it seems the program just selected a limited size square automatically in the center green square of the calibration target for building the noise profile, with a message "Area not uniform in Y channel.
I am not able to select the whole shot to build the noise profile.
Can anyone help to advise if I am doing it correctly or not?
Auto profile with calibration target issue
If the shot of the calibration target itself looks good (if you are not sure you can send an image to support at neatimage.com and we will check it) then you can ignore that warning. The profile quality indicator may not be always high, yet the resulting filtration quality can be good. I recommend to try to build a profile as it is and then try to use it to process some image.
Hope this helps.
