Questions before buying

Post by tompott »

A couple of questions before buying, please.

Why would I need a plug-in version?

Is it fairly easy to use? (I'm scanning 35mm slides)

How do I decide if I need the Home+ or a Pro version?
(Just getting started in the sale id my photos).

Thank You!

Hi,

I will try to answer your questions:

Regarding the plug-in version of Neat Image, you may want to use it to closely integrate Neat Image noise reduction in your Photoshop-based workflow. The plug-in works just like built-in Photoshop filters.

Neat Image is easy to use as you can see in the quick start guide. Neat Image can handle any images including images produced by film scanners.

Regarding Home+ vs Pro+, you don't have to decide right now if you are now sure. You can order a license for the Home+ edition and later upgrade to the Pro+ edition by paying just the difference.
The difference between Home+ and Pro+ editions is the following:
- the Home+ edition can only process 8-bit data (24-bit RGB, 8-bit grayscale), the Pro+ edition can also process 16-bit data;
- the Home+ edition can process batches with up to 50 images at a time, the Pro+ edition is not limited in this respect.

Kind regards,
Vlad
