Can't load TIFF file

When I try to open my TIFF file, I get this message:

Neat Image tried to load image from file: .....
Specified file could not be read as TIFF.
Note: only 8/16-bit grayscale or 24/48-bit RGB TIFFs can be opened.
------

My TIFF files are in ProPhoto colorspace and 16-bit. I noticed that my Photoshop only saves in 8/16/32 bit RGB. Help!

Please e-mail a small sample TIFF that shows this error message in NI to the support at neatimage.com. We will examine the file and find a solution.
