Component viewer and variant viewer greyed out in Neat Image

Each of these starts but the image does not show in them. The "all" button is engaged when component viewer starts but all the radio buttons and options are totally greyed out.

I am having difficulty finding noise reduction values which do not lose fine detail and these tools would be tremendously useful.

Any thoughts on how I get these features working?

Have you selected an area in the image in the main NI window? If nothing is selected then the Component viewer shows only empty boxes.
