Batch Processing RAW

Post by Meph »

Hi, I'd like to batch process RAW files coming out of my camera (Canon 350D), but the stand-alone app doesn't support *.CR2 files. I know that it is possible to filter RAW images in Photoshop using the plugin, so this might be a question directed more towards Photoshop automation than to NeatImage, but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions/directions for batch processing RAW files in PS? Preferably, I would like to filter these files before I do post-processing of them (ie, before using Adobe Camera Raw to make adjustments). Is that recommended? Or, should I process in ACR then filter with NeatImage?

You can only process RAW images in PS after you convert them to RGB format using ACR. Once you open/convert an image using ACR, you can immediately process it in NI plug-in.

You can also use your regular RAW converter to convert RAW files into TIFFs and then batch-process the TIFFs in NI standalone.

Hope this helps.
