Best Settings

I don't know if this has been asked before, but what are the best settings for neat image?
In case this helps, I am using a Canon S3-IS Digital Camera.

The best filter settings are a subjective matter. The best noise profiles for S3-IS are noise profiles built using the Calibration Target according to the user guide's steps.
