Batch profiling + persistent non-uniform area error

Post by swrsteph »

Hello,

I took a number of shots of the calibration target at different ISO's and converted the resulting RAW files to Tiff files using Lightroom (with noise reduction set to zero). The shots were taken in Manual focus mode with the focus set at infinity and the image histograms are neither clipped or blown out in any way.

Batch profile the resulting Tiff files is successful but for the fact that the log shows the "non-uniform error" for each and every Tiff file.

I am shooting with a Canon EOS 40D; High ISO noise reduction = On, Long exposure noise reduction = On, highlight tone priority = Off.

Ideas?

Thanks very much,

James

You can ignore those warnings. To be sure, check the noise samples used in those profiles (browse the profiles using the Load dialog, it will show noise sample in the right part of the window). If the samples look uniform and contain only noise then there is nothing to worry about.
