Neat Image with Adobe Photoshop Elements 6
Which download do I need for plug-in to APE6 in the future I might upgrade to APE7 will that matter.
Will neatimage tell me how much NR is needed on a image ?
because at the moment I am using DPP then APE6 and both
don't tell me if I need to use NR or how much to apply
BTW I am using HP pavillion dv9000 with Vista Home Premium
My cameras are Canon 450d and 50d

Please use one of the 32-bit editions of Neat Image for Windows. The Demo, Home+ and Pro+ editions include the plug-in that works in PSE6 and PSE7.
By default, Neat Image will reduce some of the detected noise and you will be able to evaluate the results. The amount of noise reduction needed depends on task and your personal preferences. You will be able to adjust the noise reduction amount(s).

Thanks for your reply, I am giving it consideration.
could you answer this post.

At the moment I am processing raw in DPP, doing some work in DPP on the image
and converting to jpeg, open up jpeg in Adobe E6 and resize to 800x600,
and do some more processing and save as jpeg and put on the web.
Now that I am getting better at processing I can see I am losing some
quality from raw to jpeg. After reading around the threads and other forum
looks like I need to convert to tiff, and then do my processing in Adobe E6
then save as in jpeg. At what point do I resize the image of the tiff do I do this,
before I do any processing in Adobe E6.

The small image shown in the post above doesn't show much noise. If you want to process the original large image please download the Demo edition of Neat Image and run the standalone with that image according to the quick start guide.
Thank you,

Thanks for help so far,
My last question is about 16bit v 8bit. At the moment this is the process I
will use raw file in Canon DPP make adjustments convert to 16 bit tiff, go
to Adobe Elements 6 run through neatimage for NR adjustments, and make
anyother enhancements then convert for web, which adjusts it back to 8bit
to view in jpeg.
My question is if i am reverting back to 8 bit jpeg, is there any quality gain
in having the 16 bit pro programme, or anyother problem doing it this way.
