Neat Video & Neat Image community

I have a MacBook Pro, and downloaded the Mac demo (for intel) version of neat image. I was excited to try it out, but as soon as I opened an image, the program shut down "unexpectedly". This happened every time I tried to open a file, and despite my attempts at troubleshooting as yet to work. Is this common? Advice?

Perhaps there is a problem with the file itself. Please send a sample image to support [at] neatimage.com.
