In May 2011 I bought a license for "Version 7 plugin 32bit" for my Windows XP 32 machine running Photoshop Elements 7

I now have a Windows 7 64bit machine running Photoshop Elements 11.

Do I need to upgrade my license and if so to what?

You do not need to upgrade your license. Your current license is valid for v7 plug-in, which includes both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. Elements 11 will still use the 32-bit plug-in.

ank you for your advice but I cannot get Neat Image plugin to show.

I have downloaded both:-

NeatSetupPS32.exe and NeatSetupPS64.exe

Neither automatically showed in Elements 11 Menu > Filter.

I then tried copying NeatImage.8bf to a plugin folder in Elements 11.

There is only one Plugin Folder:-

Program Files (x86) > Elements 11 Organizer > Plug-Ins

There is no plugin folder for Elements 11 editor

Where should NeatImage.8bf be in Elements 11?

You need the 32-bit versin only.

Please use the following method:

1) in Photoshop Elements, go to menu Edit > Preferences > Plug-Ins and specify the Additional Plug-ins Folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Neat Image for Photoshop\

2) apply and restart Photoshop Elements

3) check the menu Filter, Neat Image should be in the bottom there.

Hope this helps,
Vlad
