Hallo,
I can not install Neat Image 7.3 on Debian stable/squeeze 2.6.32-5-amd64.

Trying to install the program as normal user I get a dialog where I have to enter the root password. After wards nothing happens but the output on the console: (gksudo:5719): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_str_has_prefix: assertion `str != NULL' failed

Trying to install as root user I only get the message on the console:
No protocol specified

The behavior is the same for the 32bit as well as 64bit version of Neat Image.

Fund the problem. Using from a normal terminal su or enter the root password in the dialog did not allow the root user using the xserver.
Starting the "Root Terminal" avoids that problem and allows to run the graphical setup program.
