Question re calibration target

When using the Profiling with Calibration Target method, the point is made that the image needs to be out of focus i.e. focus on infinity.

How "out of focus" does the image need to be? For instance, I am using 70-300mm lens @ 100mm on a Nikon D3200 from a distance of about 2 metres. If I use autofocus then manually take the target out of focus is this sufficient.

It should be just enough out-of-focus to lose any details of the texture of the paper (if you shoot a printout) or of the screen pixels.

Thanks Vlad - I will re-shoot them as the effect on noise removal using the calibration sheet is negligible.
