"No plug-in folders found" - Instal issues for Pre

Post by paintedwolf » Thu Jun 30, 2016 12:00 pm

Using the install package, it comes back with this message:

[Re-Scan] No plug-in folders found

Called up Premiere Pro support and they said there should be a "Common" folder in:

/library/application support/adobe/Common

There was no folder called common. He then suggested I delete the entire creative suite and start again. I then flagged that this would be a lengthy process and would it lose all my presets and setups - the answer was yes. Funny enough that wasn't given as a warning with suggestion.

I was then suggested to manually build the folder structure:

Common/plug-ins/7.0/media core

I then pressed Re-Scan button on your installer but still no joy.
Adobe rep then told me to call you.

Can you help please?

Thanks,

Nick.

It should be:
/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/7.0/MediaCore

(not "media core").

Hope this helps,
Vlad

Thanks Vlad - that sorted it - can't understand for the life of me why Adobe couldn't have helped me...you seem to know their software better than they do!
