Hello,

I.ve got an issue with opening jpg, jpeg, tiff or other files from my camera (Olympus PEN PL7) or cell phone camera. After trying open the file I am receiving a message: "The specyfied file does not exist on a hard drive."
It is quite strange, as I'm able to open jpg files downloaded from internet.
I am using demo version of NeatImage, 64 bit system win 7.

Regards,
SHlN

There may be no access permissions. Please try to start Neat Image as administator (using the popup menu over the Neat Image icon on desktop) and see if it can open those files then.

Thank you,
Vlad

Just tried a minute ago, still the same problem.
I am using only one, admin account on win7.
Other programs like f.e. gimp don't have any problem with this files.

I cannot reproduce this problem on my computer. Neat Image standalone can open images just fine. It looks like you are the only person reporting this issue.

Please try to start Neat Image as administrator (using the popup menu over the Neat Image icon on desktop) and see if it can open those files then.

Thank you,
Vlad

Is there a way to send you an example of jpg via this forum ? Maybe there is a problem with my cameras or jpgs , but I doubt it ...

FYI - I've tried several times running it as an admin

Plz, try to open image from above link

Strange - I can open it ... but version from before uploading - I cannot ...

This likely means a file access / permission issue with the original files.

You're probably partially right. I've just notice that copying files to another drive and renaiming it (to avoid polish marks like ż, ł, ć etc.) seems to be solving the problem ... Alas copying without renaming or renaming without copying does not work.
So, firtst part of the problem is limited access for NI to one of my drives (not sure why though, it is the only aplication with that problem).
Second issue is inability of NI to opening files with polish marks in the file name.

Thanks for really quick answer and help in solving the problem.

SHlN

By some glitch in IE post duplicated, sorry.

P.S.
Give me a notice, if you want to fix it by some patch.

Thank you, we will check why such symbols may be a problem for NI.
