Unfortunately the problem remains on the side of Resolve itself and they do not seem to rush to fix it.
One workaround is listed in the Known issues page. Another possible workaround is to mass-convert those 50 fps clips to 25 fps clips encoded using some intermediate codec like ProRes and only then use those new clips in the main project, so that in that project the frame rate wouldn't change.
