With a MBP 2021 (M1 Pro 10 cores, 16 GPU cores, 16 GB RAM), Neat Video 5.4.7. SR performs not as well as expected.
NeatVideos's performance optimization says:
1 core: 0.76 fps
2: 1.59
3: 2.21
4: 2.66
5: 3.02
6: 3.36
7: 3.38
8: 3.73
9: 3.54
10: 3.47
But on my MBA 2020 (M1 8 cores, 16 GB RAM), I get the following:
1 core: 0.76 fps
2: 1.55
3: 2.16
4: 2.78
5: 2.96
6: 3.09
7: 3.24
8: 3.35
I would have expected a higher difference in favor of the M1 Pro.
Also, when can we expect the M1 GPU Cores to be utilized by NeatVideo? A colleague's iMac 2018 outperforms the above by a full frame by using its Vega GPU only.

Re: Neat Video 5 SR slower than expected on MBP 2021
Please post the complete log from Optimize Settings window in both cases.
We expect the GPU support to become available on M1 Pro/Max GPU in the near future, hopefully before the end of this year.

Re: Neat Video 5 SR slower than expected on MBP 2021
Thank you for the details. Yes, the results from Pro seem a bit lower than expected. I guess there may be some background processes running on that machine. Perhaps even background rendering of FCP. I would expect the best speed in that test on the Pro to be closer to 5-5.5 fps.
