Rendering Errors - Neat Video v5

Hello! We are getting occasional rendering errors when using Neat Video in After Effects. It does not happen all the time, and seems to be associated with a series of specific After Effects scenes. I am the middle person - it's happening to one of our artists on their animations - but we've been unable to find a consistent pattern.

Error
Rendering Frame: Incorrect Input Data

I've attached a couple of the error messages. Also, it affects the final render, causing hits in the rendered clip. Any guidance appreciated.

Thanks!

Matt

Incorrect input data means that some of the input frames sent by After Effects to Neat Video for processing are not right in some way. For example in your screenshot you can see that the central frame has the zero width and height, which is clearly abnormal. That means something is done incorrectly on the side of After Effects, before that data comes to Neat Video. This may indicate a problem in a specific spot in the timeline where a certain other effect, transition, etc. may be not working correctly. Or it may be a problem of decoding the input clip in that spot in the timeline because a bad encoding in the source clip or because of software failure of the codec used by After Effects. I recommend to try to localize the problem in the timeline to find the spot where the errors take place. Could be a point where one clip ends and another starts. Could be inside a specific clip. Try to find that spot and see if there is anything unusual in the effects, layers, masks, etc. used in that spot, or in the source clip itself in that spot.

Hope this helps,
Vlad

Thanks for the quick reply, Vlad. We'll dive into it further and see if we can isolate the issue.
