"This plug-in will be disabled" error in Final Cut Pro

Hi! I'm a happy NeatVideo customer (it does wonders for my Mavic Pro footage). While rendering 1080p or 4K using Final Cut Pro on my MacBook Air M1 (8GB RAM) I get this message at some point of the rendering: "The plug-in “NeatVideo5SRPlugin” is not responding. This plug-in will be disabled."
Is there any way to prevent this? I tried using CPU, CPU+GPU and GPU only (also disabling Metal) but to no avail.
Thanks!

From our e-mail exchange we found out that the render become more stable when the output format is ProRes, instead of H.264. Apparently H.264 is more resource intensive, which causes MacOS to shoot off processes like plug-ins, leading to that "The plug-in is not responding." situation.
