I have tried the (in my opinion) inferior product:
VirtualDub MSU Denoising Filter
and I much prefer Neat Video (for Virtual Dub). But it is painfully slow even on my new Quadcore/4GB with nVidia 9800GTX. Don't get me wrong, I understand there must be a huge amount of processing behind the scenes. A similar product, "VirtualDub MSU Denoising Filter" uses GPU and it screams along by comparison. Perhaps NeatVideo could benefit from the same processing methods ?
Thanks.
Keep up the good work.
Yes - please investigate GPU for huge speed increase
Excellent.
Excellent. Thank you.
If it were just a small difference in speed, I wouldn't mention it.
But download their free product and do a speed comparison.
I found it to be on average 8-10 times faster than neatvideo.
A huge difference when you have dozens of hours of footage to clean up, as I do. Even on my Quadcore 9550, XP SP3, 4GB, nVidia EN9800 GTX, I will take every fps speed improvement I can get.
Thanks again for your quick response.
