I'm using the demo version with Resolve 10 and it's working well, much better noise reduction that the DaVinci inbuilt.
I do seem to have a small problem, I drag the neat plugin onto a node and that works but when I try and use the noise analysis/setup it looks at the thumbnail that is in the node and not the full 4084*1617 image I'm trying to noise reduce on it's way down to a 1980 wide image.
This means calculations are done on a tiny area.
Is this because its the demo version?
Resolve problemette
No, it is a bug/feature of Resolve itself.
Resolve may sometimes send a reduced resolution (smaller pixel size) version of the current frame to Neat Video when you try to build a noise profile for the clip. To work around that please do the following: close Neat Video window, return to Resolve, click into the preview area in Resolve and only then proceed to open Neat Video window.
Hope this helps,
Vlad
