Hi folks,
Going by the example pics on the NI site, how would I create a profile to remove JPEG artifacts?
(Eg: Street light and close up of the eye).
When I create a profile it never quite manages to remove the artifacts anywhere near as well as the examples
Can someone guide me ?
Thanks
Rikki
General JPEG Artifact removal question
Rikki,
There is nothing special about artifacts. You just build a profile using an area that contains only artifacts and no details. This is exactly how the examples on the website were prepared. Flat featureless areas from the larger images were used for profiling and then filtration was applied, which resulted in the images you see on the webpage. The only thing that has been done except profiling of flat areas - some minor adjustment of the filter settings - something you anyway do.
